The main activities of Danfoss Cooling are focused within the field of cooling technologies, sustainable cold chains, and energy efficient supermarkets. Furthermore, they work on demand-response-ready buildings and innovative energy storage solutions such as the connected supermarket and the Danfoss Smart Store. They also provide a wide range of products and solutions including compressors, valves, sensors, electronics, pumps, and heat exchangers.

Danfoss cooling is active in the development of smart supermarkets, which allow for reduced use of resources and reduced cost by creating a flexible and intelligent system. The development of digital twins for supermarket refrigeration systems is in line with these activities.

Within the project, Danfoss is involved in the R&D work by development of numerical models and algorithms, application to supermarkets, and the analysis of how to create the highest socioeconomic value.
